2020年1-4月 雅思口语 Part 1 Topic 6 风景 Scenery (new)

  1. Is there good scenery in your hometown?
Of course. My hometown is one of the most famous tourist destinations in China. It features both breathtaking natural scenery like mountains, lakes and forests and city skyline shaped by various skyscrapers.
  2. When you travel, do you like to live in hotels with scenic views?
Well, who doesn’t? Even though hotels with scenic views charge more money than ordinary ones, I prefer to stay in a hotel room with a large window. When I traveled to the Lake District in Britain, I spent an expensive yet comfortable night at the Swan Hotel. The big glass window invites us to an unforgettable scene of crystal clear lakes and deep blue sky. The beauty is beyond words.
  3. Do you like to take pictures of good scenery with your smartphone? Why?
I dislike pictures taken by my smartphone. I prefer to use professional cameras because with smartphone, everything is set in an auto mode with no flexibility. Yet what we see with our eyes is full of colors, subtle changes and surprises. The pictures taken with the smartphone is too //smart/, to capture the authentic natural beauty.
  4. Is there any good scenery in the cities?
Sure, many metropolises are well-known for their unique urban scenery. For example, all the Japanese cities present charming sunsets with orange and pink shadows. Not to mention the overwhelming city skyline of Manhattan in the New York City, where tall buildings in various shapes race to touch the sky
