  1. What personal events do people usually celebrate?

There are quite a few personal events that people usually celebrate but I think the most common ones are people’s birthdays and their graduation dates. Obviously, everybody loves to celebrate their birthdays, as it is a whole day spent celebrating them. Birthdays are always lovely occasions. Yet, people also often celebrate their graduations as this is a day of significant achievement fbr them, and thus deserves to be celebrated. People usually celebrate milestones (里程碑) of personal achievement.

  1. How do people celebrate their personal events?

The most conventional (传统的)way for people to celebrate personal events is either through a party or a celebratory dinner at a nice restaurant. For younger people parties are always a very special occasion full of lots of joy and excitement. However, when people start to get a bit older it is often nicer and more sophisticated (复 杂的)to have a quiet dinner party. I think both parties and celebratory dinners are always fun occasions, full of joy.

  1. How much time do people need to prepare for celebration?

Sometimes, people need a lot of time to prepare for a celebration. Celebrations come in all different shapes and sizes, some are simpler, and some are more extravagant (奢侈的).Therefore, sometimes it does not take much time to prepare for a celebration, but on other occasions there is a lot to organise and prepare for. I have heard of certain parties, which people have spent months and months preparing for.

  1. Do you think it is necessary to spend some money on celebrations?

I think that it is nice to spend some money on celebrations, but it is not necessary. It all depends on the type of celebration and who it is for. For example, if it is a close friend’s birthday then often it is nice to do something simple with close friends that does not cost a lot of money. However, if it is somebody’s 18th birthday, often their parents will want to do a very large celebration and spend a lot of money on it. So, it all depends on the context.
