Last summer I went to my favourite singer JJ Lin’s concert in Shenzhen. For your information, JJ Lin is one of the best music composers in Singapore, and he gets millions of fans in my country. I first heard him from TV entertainment news which introduced his background and achievement and then I deepened my understanding of his dressing style on his concert.

In the concert, he dressed in various types of stage clothes, and each of them had a unique design. For example, once he wore a tight blue suit, which was decorated with hundreds of LED lights. He sparkled on the stage like a million stars in the night. And the light changed in a great rhythm with his movement.

You know those stage clothes are very unusual. Firstly ordinary people hardly wore those clothes in daily life, and it isn’t easy to see them in a fashion show. And those stage wears are customed by the designers, helping singers be an exaggerated version of themselves on stage. Secondly, the clothes are equipped with light technology; making JJ Lin look like a star-war superman. Although some of the clothes are exaggerated, the design could inspire other designers and become a bellwether for the fashion industry. I like them a lot.
