The childhood toy I liked is quite special, which is a second-hand IBM laptop from my father. More than a decade ago, when the computer was not that popular my father spent a few months’ salaries buying this for my 8th birthday gift. As an engineer, my father believed that science and technology would be the future. He hoped this computer could help me get more information and connect to a bigger world.

After I received it, I played it for one hour a day. There were so many functions on the computer; I could use the search engine to look for knowlege, play video games, watch videos, and have fun with my friends.

I felt very proud of having it because it’s so cool and unique. While most of my peers were playing barbie or dolls, my toy was full of technology. This computer recorded so many happy moments for me. Firstly, I often stayed connected with our friends and family with its help. It provided essential knowledge and information on every subject, as I just needed to type a word in the search engine. Then I could enter millions of websites to get information. Secondly; the computer played an essential role in my education as well. Various computer applications, such as drawing tools, audio, video lectures, and PowerPoint, help me learn more deeply and accurately.
