28. 邀请家人或朋友吃晚饭

One time, I invited some friends to come over to118 my home for my birthday party. It was last October. I had a day off from school119 and I thought it would be the best opportunity to celebrate and spend time together.

At the time, I had just learned how to bake a birthday cake. So this celebration was the perfect place to show off 120 my baking skills. The day before the party, I bought lots of baking ingredients121 like cake flour and butter. It took me a whole evening to make a birthday cake perfectly. But unlike122 my baking skills, I’m not great at cooking. You know, I couldn’t just have a good dessert123 and no dinner! So, I decided to prepare hotpot for dinner. It’s pretty easy .

The next day, out of respect for124 the guests, I cleaned the apartment really well before my friends came. When they arrived, we prepared the side dishes125 for hotpot in the kitchen together.

After dinner, we ate the birthday cake I made. My friends loved it. They all gave me two-thumbs-up126 for my cake. I felt very proud of myself.

That night, I remember we drank a lot of beer and talked as we enjoyed dinner. Before they left,we also played some card games. Honestly, it was a great bonding127 experience for all of us.
