Not too long ago, I enjoyed a wonderful free day off from school. It was the day after my finals exam which was lasted for almost a month. It also mean that I was about to enjoy the lovely summer vacation. My classmates and I were busy in preparing the finals for a month and even studied all night long ( 一整夜），so we decided to have a relax and to celebrate for the vacation.

I woke up in the morning and had a wonderful breakfast before heading out to meet some school friends who also had the day off. We had all taken final exams the day before so we planned to spend out free day together in Beijing. Most of our parents had given us a little extra money as a reward for our hard work. We all met up at Jingshan Park and spent a few hours there in the midday sun. We had a picnic and played some games together. Boys were playing football on the grass while girls were sitting under the trees reading books. We were all relaxed and happy, it felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from us. In the afternoon we left the park and decided to go to the cinema to watch a movie and afterwards (之后）went out for a meal together before going home. It was the perfect day, we had fun and thoroughly (彻底地、完全地） enjoyed ourselves. It was such a lovely way to spend a free day and we were all very grateful that we had been given one.
