Describe a building that you enjoy the time being there

A building that I particularly like is the town library in the town that I live in. It’s located about 2 miles from my house and it was originally built in the 1700’s as the county courthouse, but, at some point, it got changed over to the town library and I think this is because of the history is part of the reason why I like it. There’s a lot of excellent hand craftsmanship involved in the building. When you go inside, you see beautiful woodwork, some of it is hand carved, and all of the books are located on wood bookshelves. They are all finely maintained, so they’re polished and fingerprint free and it’s just a pleasure to go in to look for books, gives you a warm feeling when you go in and you’re not looking at metal shelves that you normally see a lot of books on. When you enter the library, there are marble stairs and the foyer is made of marble and that seems a little cold, but when you compare it against the woodwork, it just makes a woodwork stand out more. The courtroom area is now a reading room and that has a lovely parquet floor and it has archways in and out of the room, not the rectangular doorways that you normally see. It’s just a very inviting place to sit and read. When I go into that building I just immediately feel welcomed and ready to sit down and read.
