I think it is a good thing for students to wear school uniforms because uniforms ensure that all the students look tidy and respectable. Wearing a school uniform teaches children to take pride in a serious appearance and teaches them valuable discipline skills. Therefore, a school uniform is not just an aesthetic decision, but one that improves the overall education of the students as well.
- On what occasion should people wear uniforms?
There are many different occasions for which people may have to wear a uniform. For example, there are certain professions in which people are required to wear uniforms. People who are in the police, in the fire department or work in hospitals all must wear uniforms when they go into work. There are also uniforms which are worn on special occasions, for example there is a special military dress which officers wear during parades （阅兵）.
- Should companies ask for employees’ opinion about the design of uniform?
I think it is a good idea for companies to ask for their employee’s opinion about the design of their uniform. Although a uniform is important for creating a serious and respectable work force, it is also important that employees feel positive about the uniform they wear. If an employee is unhappy in their uniform this could affect their mental health and also impact their productivity. Therefore, it is important to consider the opinions of the employees when a company designs a uniform.
- Can people tell a person’s personality by his/her clothes?
You can definitely tell a person’s personality by the clothes they wear. Clothes are an expression of ourselves, we wear clothes that we think look good and which make us happy. Thus, it is often easy to tell a person’s personality by the clothes they wear. For example, somebody who wears a lot of black and dark clothing may possibly be a very serious person. In contrast, somebody who wears bright and colourful clothes may be carefree （无忧无虑） and fun. Clothes are a good signifier （意 味）of somebody’s personality.
