- What do you think is the best way to learn foreign culture?
The best way to learn about a foreign culture is definitely immersion. By that, I mean immersing yourself in the country and in their culture. The best way to do this is by visiting or even living in the country for a short time. This means you are completely surrounded by the country and its culture, and therefore you learn a lot very quickly. Another easy way to learn about foreign culture is to watch a lot of foreign movies or listen to foreign music. This is an easy way to immerse yourself in a foreign culture.
- What do you think is the biggest problem to work in a foreign country?
The biggest problem of working in a foreign country is probably the language barrier. It is hard to learn a language as well as a native speaker and it takes many years of practice to achieve. Therefore, if you work in a foreign country sometimes it is harder to communicate because you are trying to communicate in a second language. I also think a hard part of working in a foreign country is the homesickness. If you work in a different country, then it is very easy to miss home and miss the culture that you grew up in.
- Some people say that reading is the best way to know about a culture, do you agree?
I think reading is one of the best ways to know about a culture. There are thousands of books from every country in the world that can teach you so much about different culture. There are books on food, on music, on history and there are even books on culture! Therefore, you can learn a huge amount about a different culture through reading. The only downside is that reading is very time consuming, so you need to be dedicated.
