Did you go on a picnic when you were a child?

My family didn’t often go on a picnic in my childhood. But my primary and junior high schools organized picnic activities almost every school year, mostly in the spring time. Each student in our class would bring a backpack full of snacks and games to enjoy on the large grass land.

How often do you go on a picnic now?

Actually not very often. As most days in Beijing are hazy, I prefer to stay at home or bond with each other indoors, such as in the shopping malls, cinemas or cafes. I went on a picnic this spring when the city began to recover from the co vid-19 outbreak.

Where do you go on a picnic?

The frequently visited place is big parks. Thanks to 2018 Beijing Olympic Games, we have a variety of parks full of trees, flowers and grassland to go to. I love to go to Beijing Olympics Park as it puts on a different look in every season.

What is the difference between a picnic and cooking at home?

The biggest difference, I believe, is the dishes we eat. Easy-to-take dishes or dry food are more suitable for a picnic, such as pizzas, hamburgers, and cakes. In contrast, we can cook everything, solid or liquid, at home with no limitations.
