During the summer months I work in a cafe in my home town to earn a little extra money. One of the employees I work with is a man named Alex who is fantastic at his job. When I first started working at the cafe, Alex was the man who trained me and taught me all I know about the job. This is because he is the assistant manager, this means that he both works in customer service but also in management of the work team. Therefore, he knows all there is to know about working in the cafe.

He is always incredibly polite and friendly with every customer that comes into the cafe. He believes there is always something more he can do to improve anyone^ day. I think that is a really good attitude to have and it makes him an exceptional (异常优秀的）employee. Furthermore, Alex is fluent in speaking English which makes him particularly useful when tourists come into the cafe. He can communicate effectively with travellers and always gives them useful recommendation of things to do around the city. I think Alex is so good at his job because of the attitude he has. Alex takes his work very seriously and it is meaningful to him. Therefore, he always wants to do his best and ensure that all the customers and his fellow employees are having a wonderful time. He is compassionate and empathetic (善解人意）and these are traits (性格）which make for a good work ethic (规范）.
